Beaded NOTD!

Hello lovelies! I have a fun little nail of the day post for you. It started off with me doing swatches of my new Holo polish, Cryptid. After putting a top coat on it though the Holo in it faded a lot. So I decided to play with some beads I got recently for nail art. It was actually really easy to do and it looks really cool. All I did was put the beads into a 5 gram jar, paint a layer of top coat mixed with a special nail art glue on my nail, and then dipped my nail into the beads. It dried fast and isn't coming off! What do you think?

  4. This looks so cool. Do the beads catch on things? That is my fear with beaded nails. I'd probably end up ripping them off, lol.

  6. I love the polish, both the colour and the finish. I'm not so crazy about the beads though. It looks a bit too much as sprinkles on a cake. No offence, of course, it's just my opinion. :)

  8. The beaded nail reminds me of an old time classic candy called non-perals - not sure that is how it's spelled, but not seen much these days - is a flat darker choc. candy about the size of a quarter. The top is covered with as much as you have in beads only the candy has some non flavored white round beaded candy. For some reason my mom bought these a lot..maybe because she knew as a kid, I had to be looking for sweet pretty desperately before i would mess with her candies!

That must have taken ages to set each of those beads with such precision - or did you just put glue on the nail and dip it into a dish with the beads in it?

like others have said, I think it looks really cute. But beyond that, I think it's a look for those who have to be careful with nail art at work, this would be one most jobs would think is appropriate (unless you worked in food or medical and might leave 'em behind where they should not be.

Are they staying on very well?

  12. I just ordered this and I was so excited to find a dark teal holo, but I have to say I am a bit disappointed.
Your swatch is so dark and my bottle is a lot lighter - like, emerald green lighter.
I also bought Labor of Love (adore!!!) and that polish is closer to your swatches of Cryptid. Is it a funky bottle?
