Charity Announcements!

Good morning everyone! I have some really exciting news for you today.
Here at P&P we have been working hard on a couple of Charities. The month of October we sold Breast Cancer Awareness duos with a plan of donating profits to a local Organization called Little Red Door. This particular Cancer Service was the one I went to when I had a cancer scare. The people there were professional and kind, and they got me the tests I needed very quickly. I wanted to do something for them in return. With your help we were able to raise enough money to help them pay for 15 mammograms OR 25 CASES of Nutritional Supplements! That is huge (over $500 huge)! Those Nutritional Supplements are sometimes the only thing cancer patients going through chemo can tolerate. Little Red Door spends thousands of dollars on these supplements every year. We did a great thing this year and hopefully next year we can do it again!
The Breast Cancer Awareness polishes are still on sale in our etsy shop and the profits will still be donated to Little Red Door once all polishes have been sold.

I also recently held an auction for a very special polish I named "Superstorm". Superstorm is a green/pink/purple color shifting polish with a holographic shine. I only had the materials to make less than 20 bottles. So I auctioned 15 of them off in order to raise money for Hurricane Sandy Relief. I am incredibly impressed with some of the bids that were made. I am so thankful to all of you. Your support is phenomenal!
With your help we were able to raise $573! In the scheme of things this isn't that much. But for 15 strangers to come together for this cause and raise this kind of money is absolutely amazing to me. So here you have it, $573 towards the billions it will cost to rebuild what Sandy took away from us. Every little bit helps and everyone that was involved in this effort should be so proud!

The money raised from this auction has been donated to Red Cross Sandy Disaster Relief fund.

Right now we have another Charity cause we are working on. When you purchase a bottle of "It Gets Better" from our online shop, 50% of the profits will be going to the It Gets Better Project.
The It Gets Better Project was created to show young LGBT people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach – if they can just get through their teen years. The It Gets Better Project wants to remind teenagers in the LGBT community that they are not alone — and it WILL get better.
I created this polish for all of the people I have lost to bullying. I understand not everyone agrees with my views on human rights and that is ok. I made this polish so that I could donate 50% of the profits to an organization that I appreciate.
The It Gets Better pledge:
"Everyone deserves to be respected for who they are. I pledge to spread this message to my friends, family and neighbors. I'll speak up against hate and intolerance whenever I see it, at school and at work. I'll provide hope for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other bullied teens by letting them know that it gets better."

This polish is a mint green crelly (creme/jelly base) packed full of multicolor holo hexes.
